Durian crepe oh durian crepe!
Alhamdulillah..managed to sell more than 300 pieces of durian crepe so far..satu pencapaian yang sangat bagus untuk late comers seperti saya (patting my back)..insyaAllah tomorrow will be preparing another 20 packs of durian crepe..to those who are in Kuantan...mari mari mari........

Lecturers' treat

It's almost the end of the first semester..so most of us were busy carrying out quizzes with the students to be part of their continuous assessments. 2 of my colleagues (Sister Khadijah and Dr May) took the opportunity to 'belanja' their students after the quizzes with some apam polkadot and chocolate chip muffins..but only 1 for each students ok! i heard many of them 'begged' for more..especially the apam polkadot coz they were so cute..! thumbs up for my two friends..a good initiative i would say...

Durian crepe anyone??

It's durian season again!! ok, I personally think that durian is no more 'seasonal' in its true sense - apparently we can still find some stalls selling durian along the highways (am referring to Karak highway in particular) all year round..and we can even find big supermarkets like Jusco or Giant selling the 'Musang King' durian once in a while. but heyy, nothing beats the heat when the 'true' season comes...I can smell the 'durian breeze' in the air everywhere I go!
Traditionally, the durian is consumed either 'fresh' (like any other fruits..just 'kopek' the kulit and enjoice the 'semerbak' aroma) or as part of the ingredients to make 'bubur kacang durian', 'kuah durian' (some places called it 'sira durian'), 'wajik durian', 'lempuk' or even 'tempoyak' . I enjoy eating them fresh..but eating them with 'pulut' (glutious rice) or even 'lemang' (glutious rice cooked with coconut milk in a bamboo) is always my favourite.
For this year's season, a new breed of durian by-product has been created; the new-kid-on-the-block DURIAN CREPE, which has captured the hearts of many. Covered by a thin layer of crepe made up of flour, coconut milk and eggs, the combination of whipped fresh cream and fresh durian within it is just perfect - it's like they are made for each other! Even those who are do not eat durian LOVVEE these durian crepes. They are best eaten when they are cold, creating a taste of durian ice cream in each bite. Oh, sounds heaven!

My daughter turns 6 ! oh how time flies ...

This is my daughter, Farhanah Shafiyah. Today is her 6th birthday..oh my, dah bosa anak daro den =] she was just discharged from the hospital yesterday for acute asthmatic attack secondary to acute bronchitis..yep..both of us are asthmatic as well, so..blame the gene then =p she has long requested for a rainbow cake for her birthday..initially i offered her to do Lola cake..which has rainbow colours..but what that she wants is the one above..a chocolate cake with rainbow deco on top. She was so happy with the cake..and minta maaflah kalau rainbow colours tu salah..she insisted I follow her 'colour scheme'..even wrote a 'reminder' note on the colour arrangement on my table top last night..to anak mummy cayang @ kawan mummy bertekak..semoga Allah merahmati hidupmu didunia dan akhirat. and guess what she wants for her birthday? she wants iPhone 4S !
Mummy : Not until u turn 7...
Farhanah : 7 years old? yes!
Mummy : no..70!
Farhanah : alaaa....

Apam polkadot for Yousof yang handsome =]

Yousof is my good friend's son. Birthday is on Thursday, so his Ummi ordered 35 pax of apam polkadot (pack of 2) for him to bring to school and share them with his friends. Lucky for him Aunty prepared the apam earlier this morning..kalau lambat sure x dapat coz my daughter got admitted to the hospital this afternoon. Dah lama tak buat fondant cuppies..best gilerrr!! Even my daughter joined me, making her 'own' mini fondant cakes..these cuties were for my 2 good friends (husband and wife) whom are going for their convocation ceremony tomorrow in IIUM Gombak. 16 pieces of choc mud cupcakes with choc ganache and fondant frostings..congratulations to both of them..mine will be this coming 20th (oh can't wait!)..enjoice =]
